CPC is an elite startup venture club, founded by Stanford affiliates. We empowers people with big dreams, ideas and a desire to pitch, and aims to build an elite community of Stanford Alumni and San Francisco Bay Area’s top talents.. 4-year community management experience enables us to make ICON a prosperous ecosystem. CPC currently has more than 2,000 members, 164 companies in the field of AI, Blockchain, AR/VR, Fintech, Healthcare, and Enterprise, raised over $646M. In 2018, CPC community fund invested 10+ tech focused blockchain companies including IoTeX, Algorand, Oasis Labs, Nucypher, Celer etc. In the meanwhile, CPC organized more than 1000 developers to engage in discussions with world renowned crypto experts, including Turing award winner Professor Diffie, co-founder and CEO of IoTeX Raullen Chai, Professor Dawn Song from UC Berkeley, Zcash CTO Nathan Wilcox, Ethereum lead developer Jon Choi, Cofounder and CEO of Tendermint Jae Kwon etc. The world top crypto exchange Binance was first introduced into the U.S. by CPC in March, 2018.


1. Proposal introduction (What)

-CPC is a company that has deep experience in blockchain investment. Deeply cooperating with famous crypto research institutions, such as Stanford DTI and Cryptic Labs, CPC focus on developing and exploring the future applications of blockchain.  We are also running nodes of some star blockchain companies, such as Algorand, Nucypher, IoTeX, and more. Prof. Whitfield Diffie,winner of Turing award, father of cryptography, is our advisor for blockchain development. We believe CPC will be an important member in ICON community.

2. Motivation of the proposal (Why)

- CPC regard ICON to be a star project in blockchain. We firmly believe that ICON’s work will contribute to the future decentralized world. CPC will set up elite blockchain community based on Stanford affiliates. We are also planning to hold meetups in Stanford and Bay Area, aiming to connect everyone who is interested in or who wants to contribute to future decentralized world.

3. Execution plan of the proposal (How)

- CPC will contribute to ICON community by these steps

  1. Using our Stanford affiliates resource to attract investment and provide consultancy for ICON team on stake system, promotion strategy and more.
  2. Helping develop decentralized Apps(Dapps), Multi-language SDKs with ICON tech team
  3. Holding online and face-to-face meetups in Stanford or Bay Area to introduce ICON program to potential and existing customers and communities from all over the world.
  4. Our advisor Prof. Whitfield Diffie(Father of Cryptography, Winner of Turing award) will help promote the Internet Security system to ICON team.

4. Expected timeline of the proposal (When)

- CPC will start ICON community construction as soon as possible, including holding events and meetups, promoting on our social media, and more. After election, CPC will share some resource with ICON on Staking system and Cryptical economics according to our experience and from our Stanford economics advisor.

Team Members

Bril Wang Team Member

Bril Wang is the founder of CPC, CEO of Cryptic Labs, the world's leading cybersecurity research and development organization, and a mentor to the Distributed Trust Center at Stanford University. Founded by 2015 Turing Award winner Whitfield Diffie, Cryptic Labs is comprised of two Nobel Laureates and more than 10 cybersecurity and cryptography experts, focusing on commercial encryption, product development and services for information security. He graduated from Stanford University and Zhejiang University.

Marco Lorenzon Team Member

President of Cardinal Pitch Club. Marco is an undergraduate studying Economics. He’s helped run a startup accelerator in Michigan, was a fellow at True Ventures, worked on the Strategy team of Impossible Foods, and did investment banking at JP Morgan, covering clients in the technology industry.

Bruno Yoshimura Team Member

Vice President of Cardinal Pitch Club. Web entrepreneur since 2001, backed by Accel Partners and Kaszek Ventures. Passionate about building ventures, creating teams and investing in early-stage entrepreneurs.

Mahak Garg Team Member

Vice President of Cardinal Pitch Club. An electronics and communications engineer and now a second year student at GSB, Mahak worked as a fixed income structurer and portfolio manager (youngest) before joining her 20 years old family business.

Erhan Eren Team Member

Vice President of Cardinal Pitch Club. Erhan has over a decade of experience in corporate leadership, technology management, business development and marketing for both Fortune 500 Corporation and Startups.

Sean Li Team Member

Vice President of Cardinal Pitch Club. Sean is currently a co-terminal master’s student at Stanford majoring in Management Science & Engineering with a minor in Computer Science. He is interested in entrepreneurship and venture capital and is currently working on a venture investing project in the fintech space with Citi Ventures. Previously, he has worked at J.P.Morgan in Asset Management as a Technology Analyst and at Visa Inc. as a Risk and UX intern.
